The keep of Hasquempont is located in Ittre and is a bit hidden by the bridge that was built there in the 1960's.
Written history mentions Gislebert de Mons who builts in 1196 a defense tower called Hasquempont to control the passage at Sennette. Paul Oeghe Lord of Fauquez reinfroces the donjon in the 15th century. On one of the doors you can see a cartouche with the coats of arms from Coterau Clabecq who owned the tower in the 16th & 17th century.
The house built against the tower dates back to the 18th century and the stables and shed date back to the 16th century. When I was there some restoration works were going on but the overal state of the donjon is poor. So it is private property but borders the road and can be viewed in all its glory.
