GROENENDAAL The family “Beeckmans – De Favereau”, built this castle in 1867. The family left the property at the beginning of WWI. After the war it became a home for weak children. During WWII the Germans confiscated the castle and used it as a headquarters. After the war the castle was restored and became part of a school.
