You can find this castle in the village of Sint Katelijne Waver. The castle dates back to the 13th century in those times it was know as hof ten Steene and hof ter Hertbrugge. Around 1600 the building was restored and modernized by the family de Ruede. It was only in the 17th century that the name of the castle was changed into Lombaardstein. The family Pansius beautified the park between 1744 and 1845. The castle was sold in 1902 to the family Aerts. They saved the castle from total destruction. The family Weber bought the castle in 1958 and they still own it now. The castle is private property but can be viewed from the public road.
