This castle farm dates back to the 16th century. According historical sources the first stone was placed in 1556. In 1742 the castle was turned into a square closed castle farm. In the year 1890 the estate was turned into a boarding school for girls. The school had to close its door in 1964 after a devastating fire. Jacques Coëme bought the declined domain and started a restoration that would take two years. The castle farm is now turned into a high class restaurant. You can find it behind the church of Melveren. |
