You can find castle Montjardin in the village Remouchamps which is famous for the caves you can visit. The castle rests on a 50 meter high rock hovering above the river Ambleve and is surrounded by lots of greenery.
The castle was built in the 14th century and destroyed by a fire in 1640. Because of erosion by the water of the river the round tower of the old castle collapsed in the river in 1927. The tower was rebuild but as a square tower.
The castle is property of the Theux de Meylandt en Montjardin family since 1734. The castle was remodeled in renaissance style in 1871.
So the castle is private property but can be partly viewed from the public road.
