NIEUWERKERKEN The castle of Nieuwerkerken is actually a castle farm. It is built in Maaslandse style. Limestone door and windows framings are in contrast with the red brick stones of the walls. Above the entrance of the barn you can see the year 1734. But it is more likely that the first parts of the castle date back to 1648. This beautiful maintained historical landmark is located in Nieuwerkerken.
