ORTEGAT Castle Ortegat or castle of Waasmunster was built in 1813 after a design from architect Jean-Baptiste Dubois for the family Vermeulen. The domain was sold in 1919 to Hippolyte Ortegat. The castle is still in the hands of this family. The castle is private but can be viewed from the public road.
