This castle was property of the Seilles family in the 14th century. This elegant building has passed through the hands of many families, including the Borchgrave during 1753, on up to the French revolution. In the past the castle was surrounded by a moat, this quadrilateral castle made out of chalkstone was renovated at the end of the 19th century in neo-gothic style. A beautiful green park lays in the southern part of the castle. As you can see from the pictures, the castle is going through renovations at the moment. The castle is property of the village. What they will do with it after the renovations are finished is still a mystery to me.
