Seneffe may not be the oldest castle in Belgium but it is certainly worth a visit. The castle is erected between 1763 and 1768 by the famous architect Dewez. Seneffe was the country house of Count Julien Depestre. The interior breaths luxury. Inside the visitor will find a large collection of silversmith's trade. The wooden floors are unique and amazingly beautiful. Outside you can walk in the park where you will find a theater and other smaller buildings. The castle is a must visit if you are in the area. It is open every day (except on Monday) from 10am until 6pm. Take exit 20 on the Highway 19 and follow the signs.
