TONGRENELLE

Not far from the castle farm of Tongrinne we find the castle Tongrenelle or at least what is left of the old castle. The first fortified castle was erected in 1209. The only thing remaining of this medieval stronghold is the wide moat. On top of the foundations of this old castle a new castle was built in the 17th century. This castle was demolished in 1860. What we can see now is a farm with some remaining elements of the castle. The building can be viewed from the public road.
