This castle dates back to the 17th century. At the end of the 18th century it was remodeled into a classical building. Traces of the original building are still viewable like the stones around the windows and the corner tower. The castle became in 1840 property of the widow de Broukmans. The rich widow owned 75 hectometers of land and several houses. The castle and surroundings are since 1980 protected historical monuments. The castle is private property but can been seen from the public road. You will find this charming castle in the village of Kerkom |
